About My Classes
The A+ English computerized program combines instruction in the areas of Reading, Vocabulary, and Language Usage. The English Skills Curriculum provides a complete High School English Curriculum when coupled with the companion Literature and Writing titles. Students are also required to write narrative essays and research papers in English III and in English IV.

English III:
This  course builds on English I and II with the addition of the following topics: Reading section includes American literature, context clues, farce and satire, and foreign terms; Usage section includes lessons on infinitives, clauses, verb tenses, and usage problems; Vocabulary section reviews consonants, syllables and pronunciation, and digraphs. In addition, a narrative essay and a research paper are required.

English IV:
This course builds on English I, II, and III with the addition of the following topics: Reading section includes British literature, drama, etymology, genres and literature, literary devices, and propaganda and bias; Usage section reviews clauses and diagramming; Vocabulary section reviews root words and sounds of various letters. In addition, a narrative essay and a research paper are required.

A personalized Stoltz TAKS Overview booklet is provided for each student. This overview includes:
