Dual Credit Information
Students have the opportunity to receive college credit through Midland College while in high school by taking the following courses dual credit at LHS:
 
English 3
English 4
US History
Spanish 2
Spanish 3 Pre AP
Spanish 4 AP
Pre Calculus Pre AP
Finite Math
Calculus AB
Calculus BC
Engineering Graphics- Engineering Design & Presentation

Dual Credit Enrollment Program at Midland College

General Requirements

 

In order to take dual- credit classes through MC there are 3 steps:

SCHEDULE, ADMISSION AND ENROLLMENT

 

Step One – The student signs up for the dual credit class on the course request card during registration at Lee High School for the class to be SCHEDULED.

 

Step Two – The following paperwork is required for ADMISSION to Midland College:

Ø  Application for admission is done on the MC website www.midland.edu

Select Admissions  and Apply now

Ø  Provide documentation of tests scores; examples of test scores for exemption:  TAKS or THEA/COMPASS

Ø  Test dates for THEA and COMPASS are available by contacting the MC testing center at 432.685.4504.

Ø  Submit a Parental approval form

 

Step Three – The following is required for ENROLLMENT

Ø  Enrollment may be done at Midland College or Online www.midland.edu  .

Ø  Payment is due at time of registration

Ø  By web – Go to www.midland.eduand select Campus Connect

Ø  In person – Go to the Scharbauer Student Center.

 

If any one of these requirements is missing, the student will not be allowed to participate in the program.  All forms are available through the “required forms” link on the dual credit home page.

 

***A Midland College Math Placement Test is required for ALL college-level math courses.  The test is administered in the Midland College Testing Center.
