Parker Elementary School opened at the beginning of the 1983-1984 school year.
The staff members at Parker work together in a team centered atmosphere within the grade level and beyond. Goals are developed yearly and based upon the unique needs of the current student population. All effort is focused upon teaching to the needs of the students and meeting those needs in a nurturing but structured educational framework.
Parker is a school that exhibits much pride stemming from continued educational success. A standing invitation is always present for parent and community members to visit the school and view the educational programs that are in operation. The staff strives to teach to the whole child using a variety of approaches that address the educational, emotional, and developmental growth needs of the children who make up our proud student body.
Parker has a population of approximately 500 students, PK-6. The average class size of K-6 is 22 students per classroom, with PK averaging 18. The school serves children in the general education setting and also in the areas of dyslexia, speech, and learning disabilities.
