Abell Junior High Parental Involvement Policy

 

Abell Junior High School continually strives to improve parent involvement and satisfaction with our school. We recognize the importance of a partnership between home and school in making our students successful. To meet this goal and to be in compliance with the Title I Parental Involvement section of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) act, Abell will implement the following Parental Involvement goals:

Plan and schedule meetings/events that will provide opportunities for 100% parent involvement and provide information about the school and school programs.

Plans and schedule meetings/events that will provide opportunities to implement 100% of community involvement about the school and school programs.

IN ORDER TO REACH OUR GOAL, ABELL WILL CONDUCT THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES THROUGHT THE YEAR:

Hold a Campus Report Card Meeting with parents and community members.

Use technology to improve home-school communication

6th Grade Parent Orientation

Open House

Personal Graduation Plans

Inform parents about the facts of bullying

Spring Parent Night

Parent and community representative on CEIC

Parent night for Avid students in the Fall and Spring

Avid Banquet at the end of the year
