Cool Cats Rock!
 
Cool Cats are the students who have become self-managers.  This means that a student must follow all school rules, be prepared for class every day by having materials ready and homework done on time.  Cool Cats must also portray all of the nine core character traits.  A student may ask their teacher for an application listing all of the guidelines.  A signature must be obtained from all of their classroom teachers, P.E./Fine Arts teachers, and the school administrator.  The recommended Cool Cats will be announced at the Academic Celebrations held once every six weeks. 
 
Once a student has received this high honor, their badge represents that they are dependable, and can be called upon to do different jobs in our school.  There is a bulletin board located in the third grade hallway where teachers post jobs that they need done.  Jobs can range from helping with cutting and sorting for teachers, to reading with a younger child.  The jobs may be full-time or temporary. Jobs are done during student recess time.  We are very proud of our Cool Cats and every child in grade four through six have an opportunity to participate!
