PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Welcome to James B. Bonham Elementary School for the 2012-2013 school year. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your child's educational experience. Bonham has a TEA Academically Acceptable rating. Our mission statement is that Bonham provides relevant learning for every student fostering individuality, respect, safety and security in a loving environment. Our vision is to form a partnership with students, parents, and community members to ensure that students are provided with individualized instruction which will enable them to reach their highest potential. We are all about children.
I have been in education for 22 years and believe that Bonham is one of the best schools in Midland! We have a dedicated professional staff, wonderful students, and very supportive parents. We are focused on the best possible education for every child in our school.
We serve students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade. Our current enrollment is 756 students. We have many different opportunities for student success such as Read 180, System 44, Fast Math, Accelerated Math, Accelerated Reader, and after school tutorials. Take Flight, Classroom Counseling Lessons, Strings, and Lee High School PALS Program. We celebrate academic achievement and character education. We love our PTA and have many parents involved in helping our school. We practice safety drills regularly to ensure a safe learning environment.
