Parents/Guardians and Students,

 

Welcome to the Greathouse Elementary Website!  We are excited about the 2012-2013 school year. Education is empowering, as educators we will help all our students chase their dreams.
 
Our school atmosphere is welcoming and we are all enthusiastic about having the privilege to work with all the children on our campus.  You are welcome to call, email, or stop by to discuss concerns, ideas, or to provide us with feedback.  The success of our campus is due to the fact that we work together as staff members, parents, community members, and students. 
  

In order to continue to establish better communication between the school and home, each student will receive a "Knightly Binder."   The binder contains folders for the student’s homework, graded papers, behavior report, memos, and communication logs.  This is a system that we will use to ensure that all parents know where to look for information and to help provide the students with some organizational strategies. 

 

We believe that adding rigor and value to a child's daily instruction is important for his/her academic success.  The Greathouse teachers work hard to develop lessons that are differentiated, in order to meet the educational needs of all students.
 
Parents, grandparents,  family members, friends and community members are invited to join our PTA or become active at our campus in other ways.  Together, we will make a difference in the lives of our wonderful "Greathouse Knights."
