Library Expectations
General Expectations
 
The library is part of Lee Freshman High School.  All school dress code and behavior policies apply, including:
  • no jackets, coats, or hooded jackets/sweaters
  • no gum, candy, food, or drinks
  • no cell phones, MP3 players or other electronic devices during the school day.

Respect for school property and courtesy to staff and other students are expected at all times.

Using the Library During School Hours
 
Students who come to the library independently will:
  • have a signed library pass
  • have an academic purpose for being in the library
  • sign in and out of the library
  • sit with only one other student per table
  • return to class as soon as assignments are complete
Checking Out Library Materials
  • Student ID is required at the time of checkout.
  • Two items may be checked out.
  • Books, with the exception of reference and reserve materials, are checked out for two weeks.  Items may be renewed by bringing the items back to the library and requesting renewal.
  • Reference materials are checked out overnight only.
  • Magazines are available for use in the library.
Fines and Collection
  • General collection items                    10 cents per day
  • Reference materials                           70 cents per day
  • Fines do not accrue on days when the library is closed.
  • Fines for damaged materials will be assessed at the librarian's discretion.
  • Patrons with fines and/or overdue items may not be allowed to check out additional materials.
  • It is the student's responsibiltiy to take care of library obligations.
