About My Class
I teach Pre-AP Physics, Pre-AP GT Physics and Physics AP-C.
Pre-AP Physics is an honors course designed to challenge students in the application of mathematics to describe the physical world. In this course, the students are required to complete a year long project and receive a test grade every six weeks based on submitting a specified assignment showing the progress they have made on their project.
Pre-AP GT Physics is a gifted and talented course designed to challenge students in the application of mathematics to describe the physical world. In this course, the students are required to complete a year long project and receive a test grade every six weeks based on submitting a specified assignment showing the progress they have made on their project. This course requires a solid foundation in the concepts of the physical world and also focuses on high level application problems.
AP Physics C is a second year calculus-based physics course designed for students that are interested in pursuing careers in engineering and other sciences. The course is broken into two main components: Mechanics and Electricity/Magnetism. The former being covered in the the fall and the latter in the spring.
