Welcome to American Literature
 
Advanced English II and III, 2012-2013
TEXTS: Holt Mcdougal LITERATURE: English II is the studyof World Literature and grammar and English III is the study of American literature and grammar. These courses provide a variety of literature from world authors and from American authors from the Colonial period to modern work, as well as grammar and writing aactivities and assignments.
GOALS:
1. Understand and identify the elements of literature
2. Apply grammar skills in writing
3. Learn the research process and produce a quality research paper over an assigned topic
4. Study a variety of World andAmerican literature
REQUIREMENTS:
All students will participate in all class activities and discussions and keep a notebook of assignments and projects. Students will bring all necessary class materials with them each day. Students are responsible for obtaining assignments for absences.
